About The Event

In an era of increasingly complex globalization and ever-evolving technology, the need for literacy in various aspects of life and education is increasingly critical (Gong, 2023). Literacy is no longer just the ability to read and write; it includes digital literacy, critical literacy, high-level thinking skills, and 21st-century skills that are important in facing the dynamics of the modern world (Pekkolay, 2022). The Indonesian Education Conference (KOPI) aims to bring educators, researchers, and practitioners from various disciplines to share knowledge and experiences about the importance of literacy as a basis for holistic and sustainable education.

With the main theme "Literacy for pedagogical implications," this conference seeks to explore the role of digital and multimodal literacy in education and examine assessment strategies and pedagogy for literacy that are relevant to current needs. Digital literacy is about the ability to use technology and the skills to critically understand, evaluate, and create digital content. The subtopics Digital and Multimodal Literacy, Literacy Assessment and Pedagogy, and Literacy and Learner Autonomy will discuss various approaches to integrating digital literacy into the learning process, which is expected to support independent learning and prepare students to face future challenges.

The conference also highlighted the Integration of 21st-Century Skills and Flexibility and Differentiation in Achieving Outcomes, which emphasizes the need for flexibility in learning and differentiation to meet the needs of diverse students to fulfill the 21st-century generation' needs. The application of constructive feedback and continuous improvement is an important step to achieve optimal learning outcomes and support students in their learning process. As a result, this event has significantly improved the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in terms of literacy, which is the basis of all forms of effective learning.
