Long-term economic growth is the main driver of company revenue and profit growth, which in turn drives returns on equity and other assets. The SDGs aim to create a sustainable model for the future where all economic growth is achieved without sacrificing our environment or unfairly burdening society. Adopting relationships with society, the environment, and government creates a new strategic lens for viewing and assessing business success. Through this lens, companies can understand that long-term success is not only measured by financial profits alone, but also by positive impacts on the environment and contributions to social welfare. By adopting this perspective, businesses can better prepare for future challenges, while ensuring that the economic growth achieved is sustainable and inclusive. Implementing SDGs in business strategy is the key to creating true long-term value for companies, society and the world.
This is a big challenge for the world of education to prepare quality human resources that are able to compete and excel. The expected qualities are not only related to intellectuals, but also related to individual character, such as optimism for the future, hard work, and never giving up. Based on these conditions, the teaching and counselor profession is expected to be able to have the specific competencies required by students.
Apart from that, the intense competition between professions makes competence and expertise an absolute must, to meet the demands of professional competence for counselors and educators who understand students' interests and fields. In line with the vision of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhammadiyah University of Jember to become an excellent educational center and able to play an active role in developing management and accounting sciences imbued with Islamic values, so that it is able to compete at the national and global levels in 2029 , an International Seminar and call for papers with the theme "Building Better Futures: Local Economic Empowerment Through SDGs"
